This week, Oikocredit’s national support office in the U.S.A. has been promised an approximately US$ 2 million investment from the system office of Providence Health & Services in Seattle, Washington. This new investment added to the investment of US$ 1.9 million of last year, makes Providence the largest Oikocredit investor in the U.S.A.

The Mission of Oikocredit and Providence seem perfectly compatible and we consider Oikocredit as another partner in our efforts to accomplish our Mission." 

Providence is a not-for-profit health system, providing a comprehensive array of services to meet the needs of communities across five states in the U.S., including Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon and California. Providence Health & Services includes 26 hospitals, more than 35 non-acute facilities, physician clinics, a health plan, a liberal arts university, a high school, approximately 45,000 employees and numerous other health, housing and educational services. The system office is located in Seattle, Washington.
