Oikocredit USA is non-profit organization supporting the mission and work of Oikocredit.
We are a non-profit corporation filed in the State of Illinois in 1986. Donations are tax-exempt and receipted for that purpose.

There are also three ex-officio non-voting members: Ylse van der Schoot, Director of Investor Relations, Oikocredit International, Terry Provance, Executive Director of Oikocredit USA, and Sharlene Brown, National Director of Oikocredit USA.
Each board member is elected by the current Board of Directors and may serve for two three-year terms. Board members must actively participate in at least one of the board committees: Financial, Personnel, Editorial and Nominations. Oikocredit USA strives for an inclusive membership among its Board of Directors and is committed to an affirmative action policy in its hiring as well. Our board meets twice per year in the spring and in the fall, in addition to telephone conferences on an as-needed basis.
