Making A Difference, Manchester 19 October

Newly merged Gaeia Partnership and Castlefield are hosting an event at one of Manchester’s greenest buildings to mark National Ethical Investment Week (16 – 22 October).

The event, Making A Difference, taking place at The Hive, Lever St, Manchester on Wednesday 19 October from 6 to 8pm, offers a chance to meet individuals who are making a difference, positively changing the social and environmental landscape.

Confirmed Speakers:

• Joe Wild (Eco Joe) founder of ethical and sustainable building trading company Ecomerchant.
• Patrick Hynes, UK representative of Oikocredit, a not-for-profit organisation lending successfully for over 35 years to small businesses in poor communities worldwide.
• John Eckersley, Partner of Castlefield and new MD of Gaeia who’ll be speaking about Capital for Colleagues, a new form of investment fund set up to co-invest in employee owned businesses.

Brigid Benson founder of the Gaeia Partnership said: “Over the last 20 years in ethical and environmental investment, I know that clients have found their way to us because they prefer to have a stake in companies with more enlightened attitudes. There’s a growing appetite for making money move in an ethical direction. I believe that our speakers, by demonstrating their ideas in action, will provide more than a spark of inspiration.”
