Violence in Kyrgyzstan

After clashes in Southern Kyrgyzstan between Kyrgyz and ethnic Uzbeks, Oikocredit has checked on the state of its project partners. Oikocredit Kyrgyzstan representative Rakhat Uraimova has reported MFI project partners are coping with the situation and exercising cautioun.

 

Project partners Kompanion, Bai Tushum, Frontiers, LCC, The First MCC and FINCA Kyrgyzstan are avoiding excess risk for their staff and clients and building up their reserves to cushion any client repayment difficulties.
