Oikocredit, is a private 30 year old global Development Financing Institution that responds to the needs of businesses that create income for financially disadvantage people and contribute to the local community development. 

The office in Ghana was established in February 1995.Currently it covers only Ghana but by the end of the year it is expected to cover Sierra Leone as well. Expansion to Liberia and Nigeria is being considered, based on the market studies that are being planned.
