Hundreds of microfinance and development experts will gather at this year's Convergences forum, "Convergences 2015" in Paris, France.
The fourth edition of the forum will see expert working groups will tackle major hurdles faced in reaching the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals.
The forum aims to bring together all actors working towards poverty reduction including those from private, solidarity-based or public sectors. The focus subjects for Convergences 2015 will be microfinance, social entrepreneurship, social economy, social business and fair trade.
Oikocredit Deputy Director Loans & Investments Guillermo Salcedo will speak about lessons learned and principles of social responsibility in microfinance investments at the event.
"The event promotes the exchange of ideas and experience to improve the approach and effectiveness of development oriented sectors towards poverty alleviation," Mr Salcedo said. "It's a great opportunity for Oikocredit to share our ideas, achievements and future outlook."
