Tinh Thuong, One Member Limited Liability Micro-finance Institution formerly known as Tao Yeu Mai (TYM) Fund in Vietnam

 

Last July 2008, Oikocredit approved a direct loan in local currency equivalent to Euro 1.0 million to the Tao Yeu Mai (TYM) Fund.  The loan, repayable in 5 years, will be used to supplement the capital of TYM to serve the growing demand of existing borrowers and additional 37,940 target poor women in Vietnam.  This loan is the first of its kind approved by Oikocredit in the country.

Capital Aid Fund for the Employment of the Poor (CEP)

The largest semi-formal microfinance institution in Vietnam founded by the Ho Chi Minh City Labour Confederation in 1991. Oikocredit loan will enable CEP to fund its expansion plans for the rural provinces of Mekong delta, the poorest region in Vietnam.
